Much of my work is driven by a love of the myths and realities of the far north, the phenomena that define it, and the changes that are shaping our land and communities.

These experimental ceramics combine locally collected clays and minerals from the Alaskan interior with industrial waste materials to create speculative artifacts churned from geology and human presence. These are the byproducts of an exploration focused on the resources of a region historically defined by its mineral wealth, and where mineral extraction continues to play a sensitive role in defining our future.
